Best bags of spring 2012

Springs 2012 runways are showing many clutches this season,also with carrying handles. The on going cross body bag trend shows no sign of slowing down. Styles like reptile will be around. Bold and pastel colors with long and short straps. We will also being seeing retro inspired bags!! Black and gold color combinations along with neon accents. These clutches are not only going to be a great nighttime look they will be sticken around to see some sunshine. I have personally seen a lot of these bags in stores like Macy's and Nordstrom. Almost every designer is displaying a smaller bag. I have my eye on a few:) They are easy to carry and a good transition from day to night! Get out and check out all the beautiful bags spring 2012 has to offer us!! ENJOY:)

Ombré chatt

I know in earlier posts I have mentioned about ombré hair, I wanted to talk some more about this fun style that is HUGE this season and the next! Ombré is a French word meaning "to shade" often used to describe a dip-dye effect given to fabric and other things such as (hair, nails and even makeup!)The shade of color generally graduate from light to dark. This can be such an inexpensive fashion statement, because you can dye your own fabrics and clothes. And even get creative with your nails and makeup. One mans fashion dilemma

A male friend of mine was over helping me study for a math final when I asked him for a blog idea. He asked me what it had to be on and I told him FASHION! I said what do you know about fashion and he said that navy blue is the worst color ever!!!! Meanwhile, my mother just brought home my maid of honor dress(in a navy blue shade)that was hanging right behind his head as he was saying this. I told him to elaborate why navy blue is the WORST COLOR EVER! He told me because it looks almost like black, and if you pair black with navy it looks horrible. He told me a bad day is when you go to work realizing that your black pants are really navy and now your socks don't match or your socks were black instead of navy while wearing navy pants. I had to laugh, so we should just get rid of navy? He says YES. Sounds like a real mans dilemma mixed with a bit of color blind. They do say its common for men to be color blind. Well, I thought it was funny to get some fashion advice from a soon to be lawyer! Hope you ENJOYED:)

The sephora rant!

Once I got my first real job back in the 10th grade I was able to upgrade my makeup and stopped buying drugstore. I then started going to MAC. Don't get me wrong, MAC is great but I was so consumed in having everything MAC I was missing out on all the other great makeup lines until I really started to utilize sephora! Sephora is a makeup store that is in most states and it is the best! I can't tell you when the last time I've been into MAC! I still use there products but I guess the past few years I feel I have some making up to do to the other makeup lines out there! Sephora has one of the best return policy I know of. A product can be almost done and they will take it back with or without a receipt, no questions asked. With a receipt you will get full credit for purchase,without a receipt they will give you a gift card( I've always been given full credit this way as well). Another great part about sephora is that they have more then just makeup! There is perfume, skin care, hair products, nail polishes, and makeup accessories. One of my favorite things about sephora next to the return policy is there sample they give you about any product you want to try out. When I am looking for a new perfume this is hands down the only place I go. How great is it to try out a perfume on yourself for a few days before you make a commitment to it. Perfume isn't cheap!!! And most places won't let you return it, but sephora will :)They now have this new perfume system that you can type in a computer what you typically like and it will tell you what kind of perfumes are right for you! Where else can you do that? Lastly, the employees at sephora are some of the best! They are always willing to help you, and our knowledgable about most products, and if they aren't sure they send it off to someone else who does. I feel like most mall employees are so lazy! Ive been too several sephoras from Vegas, to Philadelphia, New York, Vermont, and New jersey, and customer service has been fabulous in all of those locations. Drugstore mascara

I am a big mascara girl. I love mascara! If I don't have time to put makeup up on, I always find the time to put on my mascara! I have used everything from Dior, Givenchy, MAC, Clinique, Benefit and many many more. I have also used a handful of drugstore brands such as Maybelline, L'Oreal and Neutrogena. I wanted to give a review on drugstore brands I most liked, and least liked. I'm going to put my honest opinion out there and say that I really have not fallen in love with any $20-$40 dollar mascara I have purchased in the past. This is only my opinion!! Eye shadows, primers, blush, and lipsticks I can see spending the extra money because I have actually found some that have been much better then drugstore. I am going to talk about 4 mascaras I have used in the past few months and going to talk about the ones I liked and didn't like. 

Starting with my least favorite Maybelline Illegal Length! This is going back to the store!! This didnt make my lashes any longer like its promised to do and it does not volumize at all! If you like a natural looking mascara this may be right for you. I do not!

Next least favorite is Maybelline stilleto mascara. This one I will keep and probably use up, but  probably will not repurchase. I do not like to use it unless I'm layering it with another mascara. Again, it may be great for someone who does not llike the "mascara look" but when I take the time to put it on, I want to see it on! I have also notices more fall out with this product.

The next mascara I'm going to talk about is Maybelline the colossal. This mascara I like! I think it is a voluminousness mascara. I don't notice any fall out, I do still like to layer( but I could wear this alone) I'm not sure if I would repurchase I still feel there is something better out there but if I had too I would.

Last but not least, L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. My mom has been using this mascara for years and years and years!!!So, when I started wearing makeup this was one of the first mascaras I purchased and was always happy with it! As I got older and more involved in the makeup world I started experimenting with more expensive mascaras and different brands. I ALWAYS COME BACK TO THIS! It has been my go to mascara for 10 years! Would recommend this!

Makeup time!!

I love a highlighted cheek bone every now and then. A celebrity known for this look is Kim Kardashian. A few products that I have tried to achieve this look are moon beam by Benefit, Macs cream color base in pearl, and L'Oreal magic lumi light infusing primer. I have actually liked all of these products, and feel that they have all done there job but they do differ in price and who doesn't want to save a couple dollars :)

L'Oreal magic lumi light infusing primer is the winner for right now! It has been one of my most recent products and it really works just as well as the other 2 if not better! It is actually a primer and directions say you to put it on before your foundation but I did not like it for this reason. I have oily skin and it illuminated me a little too much. It also says you can use it as a highlighter and that what I have kept it around for. You can purchase this at any local drug store. Its long lasting and does exactly what its suppose to do. Down below I will post the look and the products. If your looking to achieve this look and save a couple dollars try the L'Oreal magic lumi. I love it, and I hope you will too. ENJOY :)
